I married Craig Timmer in March 1966 and had my daughter, Amy, in Tucson, AZ, in 1969. Following our divorce in 1975 I moved back to San Antonio from Harlingen, TX. Eventually I wound up working in the food service business as a waitress, hostess, etc.
After becoming a manager at Wendy's I took a position with a restaurant chain in New England and moved to Rhode Island. After a transfer to Connecticut I changed my field to Retail Management. I still laugh that it was for World of Science considering my lack of interest in science in school.
I met Robert in 1988 and we became a couple shortly thereafter. When I became a grandmother in 1993 I became hell bent for Texas because my grandchildren were not going to grow up knowing they had a grandparent missing. Robert said he would go wherever I wanted so we moved to Texas in 1994.
We finally made it legal in 1995. He was the love of my life. I began my career with AT&T in 1995 and held several positions. Following Robert's death I retired with 17 1/2 years of service.
I'm currently enjoying the free time, traveling, and spending time with friends and relatives. Following a break after Robert's passing I have resumed my work with the Bexar County Democratic Party. I served as party secretary from 2006 until 2012. In May of 2013 I took a 4,200 mile trip by myself in my Smart Car. It was something Robert and I had planned to do after my retirement. I also took a trip to New York and saw my first Broadway Musical. Later that year I traveled to Houston for a Red Socks—Astros game. I rooted for the Socks and they won 11 - 5. Bob was a lifelong Boston fanatic.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful memories of your sister Mary. I'm certain your 2015 trip to Paris and England was a special time for you both. What a great experience to have lived in Europe, in those years. Glad your new place is working well for you and Annie. Please stay active on the website so we can all keep in touch. You're in our thought's little sister.
