I have vivid memories of the afternoon President Kennedy was assassinated. We were in Mrs. Galbraith's English class. I sat in the front row nearest the door. Mr. Hallum came to the door and called Mrs. G into the hall. She came back into the rom and announced that the President had been shot. I remember when the bell rang the walk to Ms. Duckworth's class was silent. I walked home by myself that day.
